Criteria for Applying
- Must be accepted for or currently enrolled at GVSU
- Must be an undergraduate, first generation student enrolled full-time (12 credit hours or more) in any course of study
- Must identify as African American in their response to the admissions application form questions regarding racial/ethic origins
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Must be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress according to the norms established by the University
- Preference will be given to graduates of Grand Rapids Public Schools and/or students who have lost one or both parent(s) or guardian(s)
