How to Use the PSR
Step 1 Making a Plan
Deciding on the equipment you need and planning is the best first step in any project. The PSR website has a catalog, published on our google drive, of all equipment available for each production course. Google Drive Locate the class you are taking and review the gear you can use. This resource is the first place to start when getting needed items. Your professor may provide a list of equipment needed for a specific project, please cross-reference the provided list with the equipment list for your course.
Step 2 Making a Reservation
The PSR accepts either phone-in or email reservations. Due to the volume of equipment going in and out every day, our preferred method is emailing us at [email protected]
Equipment lists for each class can be found at: https://www.gvsu.edu/psr/equipment-lists-8.htm. You may download the equipment list and use Adobe Acrobat to fill it out and email it to [email protected] or you may include the list below in the body of an email.
Information to include in your email:
- A list of the equipment you need ()
- First and Last Name
- Course the equipment is for.
- The date and time you will pick up the equipment
- The date and time you are returning equipment.
Once the reservation is complete, you will receive a confirmation email, and please keep this for future review.

- Rooms can be checked out for up to 4 hours.
