GVSU's Master of Public Health (MPH) Program and Kent County Health Department (KCHD) collaborate through an ongoing Engaged Community Partner Initiative, established in 2022. Our planning committee consists of two representatives from KCHD, three GVSU Public Health faculty members, and four students currently enrolled in the MPH program. The planning committee provides recommendations and guides applied learning opportunities within scaffolded courses across multiple semesters. Courses are identified annually based on KCHD needs and learning opportunities vary in both depth and responsibility. Examples from the current cohort (2022-2024) will be shared during this presentation.
