Rare diseases are difficult to study and treat due to small patient cohorts. Yet, 1 in 10 Americans have a rare genetic disease, and personalizing clinical care to maximize efficacy and reduce costs has never been more necessary. We are developing new generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) software that supports multimodal genomics inputs and can be used to answer many clinical questions. We show proof-of-concept that our AI architecture can gain clinically valuable insights. This project is a partnership with Corewell Health pediatric geneticists and Van Andel Institute bioinformaticians that enables us to develop a cutting-edge AI software product for clinicians. This AI software will give clinical geneticists insights into rare disease, helping them provide better preventative care and diagnostics.
