Abstract of Work
On October 6, 2023, the ART 391: Civic Studio journeyed into the woods of the ravines, where they collaboratively assembled a clear geodesic dome tent. The included instructions for assembly were contained on a single piece of paper, a picture of lines and numbers. Civic Studio had to effectively plan and communicate to build the space. The structure served as their classroom for ten weeks, becoming a focal point and metaphor for learning and discussions around our relationship with "nature" and the land that surrounded us. While remaining mindful of how to translate our findings to a wider audience; art as essential communication.
