Description

99% of the time, the rocks on our wall are added with a great deal of intent and purpose. Creating paths from these rocks (aka "route setting") that are both fun and challenging for climbers is a creative art that drives interest in climbing and is a major factor in what keeps people coming back. In this workshop, our head route setters will share their knowledge about the ins and outs of basic route setting. Topics may include: hold selection, creative vision, route strategies, route characteristics/ evaluation, and more!

In order to get the most out of this workshop, it is important that participants have a solid understanding of basic climbing movement. We strongly recommend that interested students be able to climb routes of at least a V3 bouldering difficulty.

An RSVP at least 48 hours in advance is required to attend.

This event has been tagged as outdooradventures, and recwell.
