About
Emma Desiderio joined GVSU Recreation & Wellness in September 2024 as the Spirit Program Manager and Head Coach of the Laker Dance Team. In this role, she leads the Cheer, Dance, and Mascot teams, building a strong, inclusive community that enriches campus spirit and fosters student engagement. Emma graduated from Grand Valley State University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a certification in Sport Coaching, while also serving as a member of the Laker Dance Team. She then went on to complete her Master’s in Sport and Human Performance from Adler University. With her background as a Mental Performance Consultant, Emma is passionate about empowering athletes to reach their full potential. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, staying active, and spending quality time with family and friends.
