History
The Statistical Consulting Center (SCC) was established in 2001 within the Department of Statistics at GVSU. Dr. Phyllis Curtiss was appointed to direct the SCC with 3 credits hours of release time per semester for the alternate assignment [JULY 2001].
The first home of the SCC was 107 Hoobler Living Center. Halfway through Fall 2005 the SCC moved to MAK 2353. In Fall 2008 the SCC moved to its current location in MAK A1-178.
In Winter 2005 the Department of Statistics recommended 6 credit hours of release time per semester for the director due to increased workload. Dr. Song Hong formally made the proposal to the Dean of CLAS [APRIL 2005].
