Audio/Visual Policy
Standard Audio-visual Set-up in Meeting Rooms
SIAM-GLS does not provide computers for any speaker. When giving an electronic presentation, speakers must provide their own computers. Cables or adapters for Apple computers are not supplied, as they vary for each model. Please bring your own cable/adaptor if using a Mac computer.
SIAM-GLS and GVSU are not responsible for the safety and security of speakers’ computers.
Invited Keynote Presentations will take place in Loosemore Auditorium: This facility seats 232 people; equipped with: Screen, LCD Projector, Audio Hook-to-House sound, Podium Microphone, PZM Microphones (shouldn't be needed), Wireless Hand held Microphones, Wireless Lavaliere microphones. A laptop can be provided free of charge (only for Invited Keynote Speakers). The space is not compatible with Macs, presenters would be responsible for providing their own adapters as the University does not have these to offer. All concurrent/breakout sessions will be scheduled in regular classrooms/Case rooms/Lecture Halls: Each room is equipped with all of the same ( as above), additionally they each have a fixed desktop with an attached webcam; Docs Camera; Overhead projector.
Wi-Fi is available and free to all attendees. At the check-in desk, Conference and Event Planning will have hand-outs printed to provide to guests with instructions for logging on and the current passwords to connect. Whatever the current password is, it will be valid in all buildings across campus.
