Reserve Louie the Laker for your next event! Please complete the Louie Request Form at least 3 weeks prior to your event. Filling out a request form is not a guarantee that Louie will be in attendance. Please be on the lookout for a confirmation email from our Spirit Program Manager, Emma Desiderio, regarding all appearances.

Pricing

All payment for external organizations will be billed via invoice and must be paid by check prior to the appearance date. All checks should be made out to GVSU with Laker Spirit Programs in the memo. For all GVSU affiliated campus appearances, organizations will be billed via Workday following your event.

*Travel fees will apply to all off-campus appearances. Mileage is consistent with the Michigan State Mileage Rate ($0.67/mile roundtrip).

Scheduling

All scheduling is centered around our mascot's class schedules and university appearances. Due to the time demands on the students, we cannot guarantee that each requested appearance will be fulfilled. Upon completion of Louie's request form, you will receive a follow-up email from our Spirit Program Manager, Emma Desiderio ([email protected]), with confirmation of availability.

Appearance Requirements

• A parking space close to the event
• A private, secure location (not a public restroom) to dress and store personal items
• Drinking water must available at all times (water breaks as needed)
• Any appearances longer than 1 hour must include a 10-minute break

*Costumes will not be loaned or rented under ANY circumstances.
