The Sport Management Club's (SMC) aim is to further leaders in the Sport Industry outside of the classroom.  Between volunteer opportunities, conferences, and events that we put on, those who join and participate will undoubtedly be ready when the time comes to join the work force.

The SMC is not limited to Sport Management students. In fact, many members of the club are Marketing, Business, and Communications majors. The only requirement to be a member of the club is a passion for sports!

Michigan Sports Business Conference last weekend at U of M

On November 5th, 2021 The Sport Management Club traveled to The University of Michigan for the Sports Business Conference. The SBC is an event that connects current and future sport business professionals and organizations, culminating in the leading undergraduate-run sport business conference in the country each fall. Additionally, it features keynote speakers discussing current topics in the industry.

Detroit Pistons Business Panel Discussion and Game

On November 22nd, 2019 the Sport Management Club attended the Detroit Pistons Business and Basketball Panel Discussions at Little Caesars Arena! The panel discussion was with members of the Pistons Front Office. Following the panel discussion, students were able to watch the Pistons play the Atlanta Hawks at 7 p.m. Additionally, all attendees had the opportunity to go on the Pistons court to shoot a free-throw after the game. 

CMU Sport Management Association Conference

On November 3rd, 2019, the Sport Management club traveled to Central Michigan University to hear from professionals nationwide in the Sport Management field and network with peers from universities across Michigan! Organizations included Notre Dame Athletics, University of Michigan Athletics, PGA Tour, New York Knicks, and many more! Thank you to all that attended and we hope you enjoyed this experience!

Indy Trip

On April 5th, 2019, the Sport Management club traveled to Indianapolis for our annual Spring Trip! We had the privilege of touring the NCAA Headquarters, Indy 500 Motor Speedway, and Lucas Oil Stadium (Home of the Indianapolis Colts). Thank you to all the students who attended the Indy trip and we are excited to see where we go this year!
