Experience:
Prior to coming to GVSU, Professor Scheuerle worked as a forensic interviewer at the Ottawa County Children’s Advocacy Center where she was a member of the multi-disciplinary team, interviewing children and adolescents in cases of alleged child sexual abuse. In 2006, she began teaching as an Adjunct Instructor for Hope College and also GVSU in 2007. Professor Scheuerle has taught SW 150, SW 316, SW 348, SW 495 and all Social Work Field Education Courses. In October 2012, Professor Scheuerle became the GVSU School of Social Work’s Field Education Coordinator. In her current role, Professor Scheuerle oversees the Field Education program which includes developing Field Education sites for students, matching students to their Field Education placement, and handling the administrative side of Field Education. Professor Scheuerle also works with GVSU Center for Adult & Continuing Studies planing, coordinating, and approving Social Work Continuing Education courses. Additionally, she serves as a Title IX co-investigator for GVSU.
