Experience:
Lihua teaches at GVSU and has more than 22 years of experience in social work education, specializing in gerontology, international social work, and immigrant services. Prior to joining the School of Social Work at Grand Valley State University, Dr. Huang was an associate professor at the Department of Social Work at East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai, China. She has worked with Chinese migrant schools in Shanghai and refugee minors in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Huang has authored books and journal articles, based on research participants in China, Ghana, and the United States. Dr. Huang is committed to social justice and human rights in her teaching and services.
