Experience:

Before joining the School of Social Work department in the summer of 2022, Professor Stansbie had worked as Internship Coordinator within the department of Hospitality & Tourism Management at Grand Valley State University, since early 2008. Prior to this, she was employed as Reservations Manager with Thistle Hotels in Birmingham, England, Assistant Restaurant Manager with Hyatt Hotels in California, and Sales Consultant for Thomson Holidays in Birmingham, England.

Professor Stansbie’s MSW field education experience was with Grand Valley State University’s Counseling Center.

Professor Stansbie’s current role as the Internship Placement Coordinator involves the matching of social work students to suitable field placement sites, along with handling administrative responsibilities associated with field education.
