Emily’s scholarship and community engagement is aimed at improving service delivery for victims of gender-based violence, specifically how college campuses can better respond to sexual violence.  Her research focuses on how federal guidances and policies influence the implementation of sexual violence investigation, intervention, and prevention services on college campuses, and how college campuses can more effectively meet the needs of victims. Emily believes in building connections with her students and believes that the student-faculty relationship is the primary factor in student success.
