The GVSU Statistics Department hosted Statistics Career Day on Friday, Nov. 17, 2023 in the Grand River Room of the Kirkhof Center. The purpose was to promote the practice of statistics, and to encourage students to pursue statistics as a field of study by showcasing various individual careers. Keynote Presentation
The keynote address, was delivered by Barry Nussbaum, the former Chief Statistician for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and president of the American Statistical Association (ASA). Barry's keynote talk was entitled "Say It Right … and You Will Have a Fabulous Time as a Statistician"
