Community Colleges - Students must articulate the differences in
organizational behavior and cultural biases between two-year and
four-year colleges; the evolution of the community college as a major
component of higher education; the philosophical purposes of the
community college and their impact on the organizational behavior of its
operation; the importance of community relations and the role that
representatives of community colleges play in forging effective
partnerships; the diversity of mission, student enrollment, and staffing
impact the curriculum and services provided.

Critical Issues in Higher Education: Students must be able to identify,
analyze, and debate critical issues facing American higher education;
discuss the diverse institutional and environmental factors that
influence higher education; and show an understanding the complexity of
critical issues in higher education, including their history, context,
effects on various constituents, and short- and long-term implications.
