Knowing major concepts in global studies, prevailing global issues, and globalization in historical context.Outcome GSI B Global Awareness
Understanding of how global factors shape lives at different levels of analysis. Seesinterconnections (social, economic,
political, etc.) between different human communities along with the global conditions and systems that affect the well-being of
human communities and ecosystems.
Outcome GSI C Global Empathy and Action
Causes and consequences of differingtypes of social inequality (e.g., gender,
race/ethnicity, class) and conflict as well as cooperation, production, resistance and social transformation. Collaborative problem-solving skills to address problems confronting the collective good (e.g. global climate change).
