The RMSC has, for the past two years, provided summer and fall
experiences to a total of 33 GVSU students as counselors for our camps.
We have also engaged students in other programs with fewer days of
impact including our Fall Science Update and Math in Action conferences.

The RMSC, while not tracking previously, had no issues engaging GVSU
students as volunteers this year.

The RMSC has just started tracking the percent of GVSU student events
last year. We do not have data for the 2017-2018 year yet as they are
still in use through our reporting year.

region in order to gain expertise and hands-on experience in the
classroom setting.

Not Yet Achieved
The RMSC has helped to identify 130 students eligible for this cohort.
In collaboration with the College of Education and the Mathematics
Department, the RMSC requested faculty feedback on these students, and
helped to facilitate interviews between the Kent ISD team and the
students. 30+ students were contacted as eligible and recommended. As
of time of reporting, 9 students have been selected to begin the cohort
in the fall.
