Apply to study abroad in the GVSU Study Abroad Application Portal (ViaTRM)

PIC sends Host University application instructions to student

1-2 weeks after Feb. 1 deadline

Student completes online ZHAW application (student will receive an email from ZHAW with application instructions)

February/March

Student attends required PIC pre-departure orientation

Select one session to attend from February to April

ZHAW sends official admission letters

May

Student applies for housing. Student arranges housing on their own, early application is STRONGLY recommended to guarantee placement

May/June

Student applies for student visa with official acceptance letter from ZHAW (visa application can only be submitted within 90 days of program start date). View the Switzerland Visa Guide for more information.

June/July

Tuition payment due to GVSU (see regular tuition payment deadline schedule)

Late August

Travel to Switzerland

Early September

Return to US

Mid December

ZHAW sends transcript to GVSU
