Peer Mentors

TRIO TPSSS Mentorship

Peer Mentors are responsible for providing personal and practical support services to assigned first-year and upper-class students who are TRIO TPSSS participants. The Peer Mentoring Program is a yearlong program that pairs TRIO participants with a student staff member who exemplifies leadership and offers guidance as a peer. The Peer Mentor plays a significant role in academic planning, transitioning to campus life, and accessing appropriate campus resources. A Peer Mentor also serves as a student advocate; a significant contact person who contributes to a caring and supportive campus climate.
