Direct Credit is a type of concurrent enrollment where high school students earn college credit for the career and technical education (CTE) courses they take at their local Career Tech Center or High School. The courses are confirmed to be equivalent by GVSU faculty, and the program instructors are qualified through the GVSU Faculty Qualification Assurance process. Upon completing the program, students with a B or better will receive a GVSU transcript with their course(s) and grade(s) listed.

Upon completing an approved program established through a GVSU partnership, students with a B or better will receive a GVSU transcript with their course(s) and grade(s) listed.

In order to be eligible for direct credit through Grand Valley State University, a signed agreement between GVSU and the Tech Center or High School and specific program is required. Please have your school administrator contact Mike Eichberger ([email protected]), School Partnership Specialist, so they may discuss the opportunity to create a partnership agreement.

You must follow regular admission application procedures. This includes completing the degree-seeking undergraduate application and submitting updated transcripts. You are also required to attend Orientation to register for classes and meet all other admission deadlines.
