Credit Card Program
About the Program
The credit card program provides a MasterCard credit card to faculty and staff to make small dollar purchases. All charges are billed directly to the University. The card is for business use only and has merchant and spending controls.
Faculty and Staff may be eligible for a declining balance card for specific situations (see below: What Type of Card Do I Need?).
What Type of Card Do I Need?

Apply for an Expense Card
- Download and complete the Expense Card Application
- Have your appointing officer approve and sign the application
- Send the application to Tonya Valencia, Procurement Services, 2015 James H. Zumberge Hall (JHZ) or email to [email protected]
- All charges must be reconciled in Workday by the end of the month
- Cardholders must follow the Purchasing Card Program and University Travel policies
Apply for a Declining Balance Card
- Download and complete the Declining Balance Card Application
- Have your appointing officer approve and sign the application
- Send the application to Tonya Valencia, Procurement Services, 2015 James H. Zumberge Hall (JHZ) or email to [email protected]
- All charges must be reconciled in Workday by the end of the month
- Cardholders must follow the Purchasing Card Program and University Travel policies
Faculty and Staff who are issued an expense card are encouraged to attend an Expenses training to learn how to reconcile the charges on an expense report in Workday.
Job aids and demo videos are available to assist you in using Workday to reconcile your expense card transactions.
