WHAT IS WORKDAY PLATFORM?

Workday Platform is a cloud-based enterprise management solution which is helping to modernize digital operations in the areas of finance, human resources and payroll.

Workday enables the organization to perform more effectively and provides improved user experience and data analytics.

WHAT CHANGED?

GVSU faculty and staff are impacted in their use of finance, human resources and payroll information systems. The degree of change varied by department and role. Workday change management efforts included communications, training, and more to keep you informed and prepared.

Workday Platform replaced Banner Finance, PageUp, UltraTime, and other legacy systems and workflows identified throughout the project.

WHEN DID WORKDAY PLATFORM LAUNCH?

GVSU began to use Workday Platform for finance, human resources, and payroll beginning in January 2024.

The Change Management team helped the GVSU community become prepared and equipped to transition to the new system.

This Workday @ GVSU website serves as the central portal for updates and resources for the project.

WHAT ABOUT WORKDAY STUDENT?

GVSU will begin implementing Workday Student as our primary Student Information System beginning in 2024 with 2026 / 2027 go-lives. Learn more about the connection between Workday Student and our current Workday Platform project.
