Workday @ GVSU Roadmap

The implementation of Workday across the university will occur in stages. The initial go-live of the platform in January 2024 will be followed by additional components being added throughout 2024, 2025, and beyond. Below is a breakdown of the expected component launch dates and major activities.

Oct. 22 - Nov. 8, 2024	Open Enrollment 2025 benefits open enrollment will be completed in Workday for the first time. Additional information will be announced Fall 2024.
2025	Peakon Engagement Survey The Workday Peakon faculty / staff engagement survey will launch, providing the ability to identify opportunities related to diversity and inclusion efforts, changing wellness needs, and root causes of employee turnover.
2026 & 2027	Workday Student Workday Student will replace Banner Student as GVSU's Student Information System (SIS).

Sep. 21, 2024	Workday Bi-annual Release Workday administers bi-annual releases in March and September. You may notice some slight differences beginning on September 21.
Aug. 12, 2024	Workday Help Workday Help provides employees with a knowledge market of on-demand information related to HR and Student Employment, and offers case management for HR troubleshooting. Workday Learning Workday Learning is a full learning management system going beyond only registration and supports the delivery of online, in-person, or hybrid courses and programs. It also serves as the hub for all course related content and materials.
Jun. 12, 2024	Performance Evaluation The 2024-25 performance cycle launched in Workday for the first time in June 2024. Find more information on the Workday Performance page.
May 1, 2024	Advanced Compensation Launch The salary planning process (formerly known as the Salary Increase Program) commenced on May 1. Managers of faculty and Administrative Professional (AP) staff learned about changes to the process in the Workday for Managers Zoom series in February, March, and April.
Apr. 22, 2024	Workday Strategic Sourcing Launch Workday Strategic Sourcing (WSS) is a component of Workday that went live on April 22. It has features related to Suppliers, RFP’s and Bids, and Supplier Contracts.
Mar. 9, 2024	Workday Bi-annual Release Workday administers bi-annual releases in March and September. You may notice some slight differences beginning on March 9. Changes are expected to be minimal and additional training is not anticipated.
Jan. 3, 2024	Workday Go-Live All GVSU faculty staff will have automatic access to Workday via my.gvsu.edu. Hourly employees will enter time in Workday.
