GVSU Information Technology Division Wins Tech LX Awards

For the last nine months, seven members of GVSU's Information Technology Division took part in the Technology Leadership Experience (TechLX) organized by Ouellette & Associates Consulting, Inc. As part of TechLX, the team was able to be included in an in-depth learning journey for a cohort of high-potential IT leaders. The cohort consisted of 25 IT peers across the country from companies such as Magellan Midstream Partners LP, University of Michigan’s College of LSA, University of Michigan’s School of Dentistry, Talent Launch, Associated Bank, Barnum Financial Group, Novant Health, and PGIM Fixed Income.
In addition to graduating from this program, this group also received the prestigious Marketing Excellence Award for their capstone project focusing on the adoption of Blackboard Ultra at Grand Valley State University.
The team members receiving this award are Kim Kenward, Vicky Thelen, Katherine Fay, Dan Barricklow, Nick Nelson, Jason Kunnen, and Emil Delgado. This award-winning project will be utilized in real-time by the university as it migrates from Blackboard Classic to Blackboard Ultra for its Learning Management System (LMS).
TechLX also presented Katherine Fay, Director of the Project Management Office, with The Leader Amongst Leaders Award. This Award is given to the participant whose peers feel truly personifies the leadership qualities covered in the program.
Participation in TechLX is another step forward in the Division's Digital Transformation (DX) Strategy which seeks to provide the university with service excellence and enhanced support, modernize enterprise solutions, and accelerate transformation through innovation.
