Family Leave Task Force
In 2019, the Women's Commission created a representative task force to explore family leave benefits in support of the Framework for Inclusion and Equity as adopted by the Board of Trustees. The Family Leave Task Force developed policy recommendations that were presented to senior leadership in the Fall of 2017. In December of 2021, GVSU expanded its parental leave benefit to include non-medical leave for both birth and non-birth parents. In April of 2022 the Women's Commission Family Leave Task Force was honored with the AP Staff Outstanding Team Project Award.
