Candidate Bio

My name is Kate Daly, and I'm excited to announce my candidacy for GVSU Student Senate! I'm from Saint Clair Shores, MI, and currently a Freshman majoring in Sport Management with a minor in Business. I'm running for Student Senate because I want to help make our campus more engaging, inclusive, and vibrant-especially for incoming freshmen. College should be a place where every student feels connected and heard. I'm committed to advocating for students by addressing concerns and working toward meaningful solutions. With my strong communication and problem-solving skills, I'll ensure that student voices are not only heard but acted upon. I also want to strengthen communication between students and faculty to create a more supportive and enjoyable learning environment for everyone. I am passionate about making GVSU a place where students feel supported, connected, and excited to be part of the community. I want to help create a more engaging and inclusive environment where every student feels heard, valued, and cared about. College is more than just attending classes-it's about building a community where students feel comfortable sharing their ideas, concerns, and aspirations. By strengthening communication between students and faculty, I can work to bridge gaps, address issues, and advocate for meaningful changes that will enhance the overall student experience. Lets work together to make GVSU an even better place for everyone!
