General Senator Candidates 2025
Support international students by creating a more welcoming and inclusive campus. 2) Improve support services to help with academics and adjusting to campus life.3) Make it easier for students to access tutoring, study spaces, and helpful resources.4) Support student-led clubs and events that help students learn new skills, gain experience, and connect with others.
My name is Prasamsa Pandey, and I am a sophomore majoring in Computer Information at GVSU. I am running for Student Senate to support all students by creating a more welcoming and inclusive campus environment. As an international student myself, I understand how challenging it can be to adjust to a new country, culture, and academic system. My goal is to help make that transition easier for others by improving support services and fostering a sense of belonging for everyone. I believe that every student deserves to feel heard, valued, and supported throughout their time at GVSU. If elected, I will work to ensure that all students have better access to resources that can help them adjust both academically and socially. I also aim to encourage open conversations about the challenges students face and advocate for solutions that promote inclusivity and understanding across campus. My experience as a member of the Student Senate, has helped me develop strong communication and leadership skills. These experiences have taught me the importance of listening, collaborating, and taking action to make positive changes. If given the opportunity, I will work hard to make GVSU a supportive and welcoming space for everyone, where all students feel comfortable sharing their voices and ideas. I am committed to making meaningful changes that will benefit the entire campus community. Thank you for your support.
