Candidate Bio

Im Micah Dykhuis, a sophomore majoring in Theoretical Mathematics with minors in Computer Science and Chemistry. I am passionate about origami and volunteer tutoring. My goal is to attend graduate school and become a Math Professor, and Im passionate about making a positive impact on campus during my time here. If elected, I will prioritize creating a safer, more inclusive campus environment. Im committed to advocating for stronger action against car break-ins to ensure student safety. I also want to increase visibility and recognition for deaf and hard of hearing students, as well as English Language Learners, making sure their voices are heard and supported. I also want to improve the visibility of campus resources and programs, ensuring every student knows where to find support. Finally, I plan to advocate for more programs that recognize exceptional students beyond academicswhether in clubs, leadership, or community service. I am excited for a second term to help create a safer, more inclusive campus!
