Student Ambassador for Junior Leadership Macomb (One of Three) ý Gained valuable experience in leadership, representing and supporting peers, and fostering community engagement. E-Board Member of College Student Council ý Participated in decision-making and event planning, showing experience in organizing, collaborating, and advocating for student interests. Presenter at MASC/MAHS (Junior and Senior Year) ý Gained public speaking and presentation skills while sharing knowledge and experiences with peers and educators at conferences. Member of YBBW (Youth Beautiful Black Women) ý Engaged in activities that promote empowerment, leadership, and support within the community for young black women.

I'm running for Student Senate to ensure every student's voice is heard and represented, creating a more inclusive campus for all. I want to improve communication between students and administration, making sure concerns are addressed quickly and effectively. I plan to advocate for more mental health resources and support for students, especially during stressful periods like midterms and finals. I aim to foster a greater sense of community through more campus events that connect students from different backgrounds and interests. I also want to advocate for students of color by ensuring their needs and concerns are recognized and supported.

My name is Genna Wright, and I will be a junior in the fall of 2025. I am majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring in Psychology. Throughout my time in college, I've developed a strong passion for advocacy, particularly in supporting underrepresented groups and promoting positive change on campus. I am committed to fostering a more inclusive and supportive campus environment for everyone. As a member of Student Senate, I want to work on improving communication between students and administration to ensure concerns are addressed in a meaningful way. My goal is to serve the entire student body and work toward meaningful changes that improve the overall college experience for all. I'm dedicated to listening to the needs of my fellow students and ensuring their voices are heard.
