I have been involved in student senate for a year and have a ton experience from that. I was involved in numerous clubs in high school that built my leadership, communication, and teambuilding skills.

I am running for student senate to help create a safe and inclusive environment and to promote awareness about events or programs happening at GV.

Hello! I'm Karen Theakston, entering my fourth year at Grand Valley with a major in Psychology and a minor in Juvenile Justice. My goal after graduation is to join the Occupational Therapy program at Grand Valley. Having served on the student senate for a year, recently as the Events Chair, I am eager to continue in this role. My aim is to strengthen the foundation of the events committee and foster greater collaboration across our campus community.
