General Senator Candidates 2025
- I want to amplify the voices of the Black community on campus and ensure our concerns are heard. - I understand what it's like to be shy, and I want to empower other quiet students to speak up and feel represented. - I want to improve communication between students and administration to address campus climate and diversity issues.
My name is Peyton Driver and I am excited to run for my first Student Senate. As a woman of color, I want to help create a more inclusive and supportive campus environment. I know what it's like to feel unheard, especially as someone who is naturally shy, and I want to be a voice for students who may struggle to speak up. I believe small changes can make a big difference, whether it's improving student engagement, supporting underrepresented communities, or making it easier for students to share their concerns. I hope to bring fresh ideas and a thoughtful perspective to the Student Senate, and I would be honored to be able to represent GVSU Lakers.
